Five seasonal programmes and the dates that decide them
Spring, summer, autumn, back to school and the year-end period, with the Spanish production calendar and the deadlines that follow from it.

Seasonal work fails on timing, not on taste
Seasonal merchandise fails on timing rather than on taste. The autumn programme has to be approved before the summer, because the production window is longer than the planning assumption, and the spring campaign collides with the autumn ramp because the same factory does both. Each of the five pages here gives the working dates: when the brief has to be signed, when the sample has to be approved, and when the goods have to be in the warehouse rather than merely dispatched.
The Spanish calendar has two peaks that the northern European one does not: the September return to the office, which carries the back-to-school and the corporate welcome kits together, and the Christmas period, which is planned in the spring. The summer months are quieter, but that is when the year-end order is actually produced. The pages also cover the material consequences of the seasons, from a drinkware line that has to survive a hot delivery van to an autumn jacket programme that needs to land before the first cold week.

Questions about seasonal programmes
When should we start a Christmas programme?
For a December delivery, the brief normally has to be signed in the spring. The autumn page explains the production window behind that.
Does summer really have more capacity?
There is more production capacity in the summer, but the stock position is often thinner, because the summer is also the season when a lot of stock moves.
Can we plan a programme across two seasons?
Yes, and it is often cheaper. The seasonal pages describe where the split falls.
