What changed, and what to do about it
Six short updates on the changes that land on merchandise programmes. The e-invoicing comparison sets out the four systems a Spanish buyer may meet and which one applies to which company. The packaging update covers what the European packaging rules change for a shipped order. The sustainability reporting page explains what the reporting directive asks of an organisation that spends money on merchandise, and how the answer has to be evidenced.
Two of the updates concern artificial intelligence. One covers the procurement side, where a tool is asked to write the specification and the risk is that the specification stops describing the actual requirement. The other concerns design, where generated artwork raises a new question about licence and originality in a campaign that has to survive legal review. We publish these because a change in the surrounding rules is worth knowing before the brief is written, not after the order is placed.

Questions about these updates

As the rules change. Each page carries the date of the last revision.
Do the updates apply outside Spain?
Partly. The e-invoicing pages are specific to Spain. The packaging and sustainability pages cover European rules that apply across the single market.
