Corporate merch for igaming and betting operators in Spain
A working guide for Spanish igaming operators, sports-betting platforms and licensed casino brands on how to brief affiliate gifts, conference merchandise, responsible-gaming event kits, VIP loyalty packs and employee merch under the DGOJ framework.
Why igaming merch is its own brief
Spain's igaming market is regulated by the Dirección General de Ordenación del Juego (DGOJ), under the Ley 13/2011 on the regulation of gambling. Licensed operators — Codere, Bet365 España, Betway España, William Hill, Luckia, Sportium, Bingo Billares, Codere, ONCE's commercial arm, plus the Spanish national lottery Loterías y Apuestas del Estado — operate under strict rules on advertising, responsible gaming, player protection and bonus structures.
The merch brief sits inside those rules. Gifts to players are restricted by the bonus and promotion regulation; gifts to affiliates and partners are subject to the same anti-bribery and conflict-of-interest rules that govern any commercial relationship; merchandise at conferences has to comply with the trade-show rules; and merchandise handed out at responsible-gaming events has to follow the DGOJ's responsible-gaming communication framework.
Affiliate and partner gifts
The largest spend for most Spanish igaming operators. Affiliates — the publishers, tipsters, comparison sites and influencers that drive player acquisition — receive a tiered gift programme tied to acquisition volume. Common tiers: bronze (a branded pen, a notebook, a sticker sheet), silver (a stainless-steel water bottle, a hoodie, a premium tote), gold (a leather-look travel wallet, a premium pen, a curated gift box), platinum (a numbered edition piece, a luxury weekend, a presentation box).
Lead time is 4–6 weeks for affiliate gifts. The supplier's role is to brand each tier consistently, ship individual gifts to the affiliate's address (often across multiple jurisdictions), and provide a per-recipient packing list so the operator's affiliate team can track delivery.
Conference merchandise at ICE, SiGMA and SBC
Spanish igaming operators exhibit at the major European trade shows — ICE Barcelona (now at Fira Barcelona), SiGMA Europe (Malta), SBC Summit (Malta and Barcelona), the European Lotteries Congress, the Spanish CEC and the regional gaming association meetings. Each show needs a booth kit, attendee giveaways, sponsor merchandise and VIP packs.
The brief is similar to other event briefs but with two additional constraints. First, the merch has to comply with the show's rules on advertising — some shows prohibit certain logos, certain colours, or certain gift values. Second, the merch has to comply with the DGOJ's rules on licensed-operator branding — the operator's licensed logo and brand mark have to be reproduced to the operator's brand book, not the international parent brand book.
Responsible-gaming event kits
The sensitive brief. Spanish igaming operators run responsible-gaming events throughout the year — for the Día Internacional del Juego Responsable, for the FEJAR (Federación Española de Jugadores de Azar Rehabilitados) awareness weeks, for the regional gaming authority's educational programmes. The merch at these events has to communicate the operator's responsible-gaming commitment without advertising the gaming brand.
Common items: a printed brochure (in Spanish and the relevant regional language), a small accessory (a pen, a notebook, a tote) in neutral colours with the responsible-gaming message, a printed card with the player-support hotline, and a small educational gift (a workbook, a stress ball, a fidget). The branding is the operator's mark in a neutral Pantone, often without the brand's signature gaming typography.
VIP loyalty packs
The high-touch tier. Spanish igaming operators run VIP programmes for high-value players — typically those who deposit more than €1,500 per month, who play specific games, or who qualify through the operator's tiered loyalty framework. The VIP gift catalogue is similar to other loyalty programmes: a leather-look travel wallet, a luggage tag, a passport holder, a premium toiletry bag, a curated gift box, and at the top tier, a numbered edition piece.
Lead time is 6–8 weeks for VIP packs. The supplier's role is to brand each tier consistently, ship to the player's address across Spain and Europe via tracked post, and provide a per-recipient packing list so the operator's VIP team can track delivery and confirm receipt.
Employee merchandise
The internal brief. Spanish igaming operators employ 200–3,000 people each (Bet365 España, Codere, ONCE), plus the wider ecosystem of affiliates, payment processors, software providers and customer-support centres. Employee merch covers onboarding kits, internal event merchandise, recognition awards, anniversary gifts, off-boarding kits and benefits programme merchandise.
Decoration techniques for operator brand books
Operator brand books vary widely — from the heritage casino style (deep reds, gold foils, serif typography) to the contemporary sportsbook style (bright colours, sans-serif typography, bold lock-ups). Three decoration techniques hold the brand best across the items that igaming briefs tend to use.
Hot-foil stamping and debossing on leather, bonded leather and bonded-wood — for VIP travel wallets, presentation boxes, premium pens. Gold, copper and silver foils are the standards.
Embroidery on apparel and caps holds the operator's mark over years of wear.
Silk-screen on cotton for totes, tees and hoodies. Solid Pantones hit Delta-E ≤ 2.5 reliably.
Compliance notes for DGOJ-regulated merch
Spanish igaming operators have to file compliance reports with the DGOJ on a quarterly basis. The merch programme contributes to the operator's marketing and responsible-gaming reporting. The supplier's role is to maintain a documented trail — per-recipient packing lists, gift values, dates, programme tiers — that the operator's compliance team can include in the quarterly report.
Above the DGOJ's gift-value thresholds (typically €60 per gift per player, with cumulative gifts rarely above €150 per player per year), the gift has to be declared in the player register. The supplier provides a per-recipient invoice to support the declaration.
Logistics and tax
Production runs from the Madrid hub reach operator offices in Madrid, Ceuta, Melilla and the Canarias next morning via local express. Affiliates and VIP players across Spain and Europe receive shipments via tracked post; international shipments use air freight with the operator's commercial invoice.
IVA 21% applies on domestic shipments; intra-community shipments to other EU countries are zero-rated with the corresponding VAT number on the invoice. For licensed operators, the supplier's invoice carries the operator's corporate NIF and the DGOJ licence number on the line-level descriptions.

FAQ — corporate merch for igaming
How do DGOJ gift-value thresholds affect affiliate programmes?
Above €60 per gift per affiliate, the gift has to be declared in the operator's internal compliance register. Above €150 cumulative per affiliate per year, the gift triggers an enhanced compliance review. The supplier provides a per-recipient invoice to support the declaration.
Can you handle responsible-gaming event kits?
Yes. We work with the operator's compliance team on the messaging, the Pantone and the typography to ensure the kit communicates the responsible-gaming commitment without violating the DGOJ's advertising framework.
Can you ship VIP gifts directly to player addresses?
Yes. For VIP packs, we ship directly to the player's address across Spain and Europe via tracked post. Each shipment carries a per-recipient packing list and a consolidated invoice back to the operator.
Do you handle ICE Barcelona, SiGMA and SBC booth deliveries?
Yes. We have standing relationships with the freight partners at Fira Barcelona (ICE Barcelona, SBC Barcelona) and the conference centres in Malta (SiGMA, SBC). Stand-drop is standard for booth kits and sponsor merchandise.
Is Corp-Merch an official supplier of any Spanish igaming operator?
No. Corp-Merch is an independent corporate-merchandise supplier. We have no partnership, sponsorship or official-supplier relationship with Codere, Bet365 España, Betway España, William Hill, Luckia, Sportium, ONCE, Loterías y Apuestas del Estado or any other Spanish igaming operator. References to those operators describe the market context, not a contractual affiliation.
