Branded merch for the Feria de Abril in Seville
- Dates
- Typically the latter half of April (annually, beginning about two weeks after Easter Sunday with the alumbrao ceremony; the 2026 edition starts in mid-to-late April)
- Venue
- Real de la Feria, Calle del Real, Los Remedios, Seville, Andalucía, Spain
The Feria de Abril takes over a purpose-built fairground in the Los Remedios neighbourhood of Seville, with around a thousand casetas (private tents and marquees) lined up along Calle del Real and the surrounding avenues. The alumbrao — the moment the portada and every caseta façade light up at midnight on the opening Saturday — opens a full week of late-night flamenco, rebujito, fino de Jerez, horse parades through the calle del toro and long tables shared inside the casetas. Daily attendance across the seven-day fair is measured in hundreds of thousands; the Saturday-night peak brings the city to a standstill.
For caseta commissions, equestrian clubs, hospitality groups and brand teams, the merch brief is distinctive. Caseta commissions refresh their uniforms, name tags and caseta accessories each year, equestrian clubs kit out their riders and carriages, hospitality partners along the Triana and Los Remedios ring renew their service apparel and tableware, and corporate teams that bring a caseta need full signage, branded staff gear and VIP gifting in one production cycle. The local vocabulary matters — the typical Feria palette is flamenco red, lime green, canary yellow and crisp white — and so does the production timing, because the casetas open the moment the portada lights up.
For international tourism boards and Latin American delegations that bring their own caseta or appear at the Caseta Internacional block, the merch programme also feeds the photo and social moments of the alumbrao. A small wearable item, a printed gift with the country's Pantone, and a few premium pieces for visiting partners cover most of the caseta's external visibility for the week. Seville freight from outside Andalucía is normally routed through the Madrid hub and reconsolidated into Andalusia the week before the alumbrao, so the run-in calendar for caseta merchandise is typically tighter than for central-Spain projects.
Beyond caseta and equestrian merch, hotel reservations in Triana and Los Remedios — which sell out months in advance — and the vehicle-access passes to the Real de la Feria, which the Ayuntamiento regulates with annual quotas, are worth closing early. For corporate teams that bring a caseta, coordination with the conserje and barra staff of the caseta is as important as production itself: the merch typically arrives at a peak hour and the deployment at the barra and counter needs familiar hands.
The typical Feria de Abril rotation kit combines polos embroidered with the caseta number and peña or company name, backpacks and totes embroidered in blanco roto, notebooks and pens in manzanilla and fino tones, leather fans with the caseta crest, pennants and mantones for members, and white aprons with fine stitching for service. The fabric choice is usually linen or combed cotton with a soft drape so the embroidery shows well in the Seville heat.
