Type
Open professional festival with building visits, talks, exhibitions and college awards

Consejo Superior de los Colegios de Arquitectos de España (CSCAE) in coordination with the 17 territorial Colegios

Semana de la Arquitectura is held each year in the first or second fortnight of October and is organised by the Consejo Superior de los Colegios de Arquitectos de España (CSCAE) in coordination with the seventeen territorial Colegios. The call opens hundreds of activities to the public: guided visits to landmark buildings, college awards, talks, exhibitions in college halls, panels and urban routes. Madrid concentrates the bulk of activities thanks to the CSCAE headquarters and a particularly dense college programme, followed by Barcelona, Valencia, Sevilla, Bilbao, Zaragoza and A Coruña, among other cities with a territorial Colegio.

For a studio, a school, a developer, a material supplier or a specialist publisher, the week is a key visibility moment in front of colleagues, end-clients and sector press. The activation combines presence at the college venue with visits to ongoing works and landmark pieces: merch needs to travel with whoever is visiting, speak well for the studio in a peer's bag, and survive a full week of intensive use without creasing on day one.

Recommended merch mix for studios and sector firms

Technical team apparel

Combed-cotton T-shirts or piqué polos in understated colours with the studio logo on the chest and the website on the back. Sizing distributed across technical staff, administration and directors; unisex or gendered cut depending on the team.

Sketchbooks and field notebooks

A5 or A6 notebooks with a black or kraft cover, singer stitching and a ribbon bookmark, with the brand debossed or single-colour screen-printed — the gift a peer will actually use.

Site-visit accessories

Two-metre folding tape measure, digital caliper, branded lanyard with credential holder and a light waterproof pouch for A3 folders — designed for a full October day on site.

Partner, press and client kits

Compact box with notebook, metal pen, set of project postcards and a small wooden or laser-cut methacrylate piece. Ready to hand over by name at the college reception.

Production, VAT and delivery to the college venue

We produce from the Madrid hub with 21% VAT and B2B invoicing through FACe/SII (Agencia Estatal de Administración Tributaria, AEAT); for EU-based clients we apply the reverse-charge mechanism where applicable. Quantities are sized to the studio and the number of activities scheduled: fifty to two hundred pieces for apparel, one hundred to five hundred notebooks, twenty to fifty premium kits. Delivery is coordinated with the college staff or with the studio office in the host city, usually forty-eight to seventy-two hours before the first event. When the activation spans several cities, it pays to split the order by city and label each batch with its destination, loading slot and receiver so each Colegio receives its share without regrouping. The larger cities — Madrid and Barcelona — often require coordination with a local logistics operator to unload in pedestrianised or restricted streets.

Recommended planning calendar

  1. Eight to ten weeks out: confirm your own programme at the college venue, lock the product list, quantities per venue and sizing, and approve artwork on chest, cover or label.
  2. Five to six weeks out: receive a physical or production-grade sample and check the notebook paperweight, the apparel colour and the waterproof pouch resistance.
  3. Three to four weeks out: launch full production and lot-level quality control, with bilingual labels (Spanish/English) when the college venue hosts an international audience.
  4. Final week: confirm exact addresses, loading slots, per-venue receiver names and plan restocking for the strongest programme days.

Frequently asked questions

When is Semana de la Arquitectura held?

Historically during the first or second fortnight of October, with activities running for up to ten days. The exact dates are published by each territorial Colegio on its official site — review them before locking artwork and sizes, as the college schedule can shift slightly from one city to the next.

Can the merch be delivered to several college venues on the same order?

Yes. We split the order by city and label each batch with the destination, the loading slot and the receiver, simplifying logistics and reducing regrouping in destination.

What is a safe production lead time for a small studio?

For notebooks and screen-printed apparel, four to five weeks from artwork approval. For premium boxes with die-cut and debossed pieces, five to six weeks. Shorter windows are possible only when stock is available and the decoration admits an express run.

Is Corp-Merch a partner or official supplier of Semana de la Arquitectura?

No. Corp-Merch is an independent external supplier that helps studios, schools and firms prepare their own merch for the college programme. It does not organise, sponsor or represent the CSCAE or any territorial Colegio.
